Camera friendly dog

Poor dog was seeking some attention, so I gave it some and in return it gave me a good opportunity to capture this shot.

My view of the world

So I was asked to consider starting a blog to post some of my photos that I have taken after purchasing my first Digital SLR in December 08. I have had some really nice comments from my friends who have seen some of my work and so decided to actually try this out. I just hope I don't get too lazy when it comes to posting.
I do have my reservations sometimes as I'm not totally comfortable with some of my work yet, as I have only recently started photography (besides the occasional point and shoot with digital cameras), and I still have much to learn in this fascinating realm of photography. Comments are most welcome! It aids my learning process and also provides a different view point for each and every photo.
So starting off with this one, it was taken at my friend's shoe shop in Melbourne called Ebony M. Found this pretty shoe sitting there on the shelf and decided to shoot it. I think it would have been better if I had shot it using colour as black and white does take away certain aspects of a photograph, especially when shoes come in so many different colours. With that being said, I did like the bokeh produced in this shot. This has been one of my favourite shots so far and I do hope you liked it too.
There will be more to come as I will slowly upload my pictures on this blog. Be sure to come back for more.
